Hidatsa Red is a historic semi-dwarf bean nearly 2,000 years old, traditionally grown by the Hidatsa people of what is now the Dakotas, USA. Compact and productive, it can be eaten fresh when young, but truly shines when grown on to produce beautiful jewel-red beans for drying, perfect for soups and stews.
